Propidium Iodide (PI) is a fluorescent dye that impermeable to healthy cells. When cells dye, their membranes become permeable. PI enters the cell, binds to the DNA, and increases fluorescence 50x +. This strong signal for measuring cell viability has made PI the gold-standard approach used in flow cell viability assessment.

Moxi Cyte Nucleated Counts (AO) / Viability (PI) Reagent
